SUMMARY
The Heritage Road Bridge Project became eligible to receive Highway Bridge Program (HBP) funding as a bridge replacement project in December 2014. On May 8, 2015, the project was approved for funding to complete the remaining Preliminary Engineering, Environmental Analysis and Final Design. To receive the funds, via reimbursements, the City is required to execute the Program Supplement Agreement and authorize the Director of Public Works to execute said agreement.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The Development Services Department has reviewed the proposed action for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and has determined that the proposed action qualifies for a Class 6 categorical exemption pursuant to Section 15306, Information Collection, of the State CEQA Guidelines because the proposed activity consists of basic data collection, research and information as part of a study leading to an action which the City of Chula Vista has not yet approved, adopted, or funded. The bridge project itself is currently under development review and will be fully analyzed and mitigated in an environmental document consistent with CEQA.
