SUMMARY
On June 2, 2015 City Council approved the Year One Agreement between Community Health Improvement Partners for funding through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Healthy (REACH) program to promote healthy eating and physical activity to Latinos living in Chula Vista's 91910 and 91911 zip codes. This action will approve Year Two funding in the amount of $30,000 for staff time to further develop policies and plans supporting healthy food access and active transportation.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The Development Services Director has reviewed the proposed activity for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and has determined that the appropriation of grant funds is not a "Project" as defined under section 15378(b)(4) of the State CEQA Guidelines because it involves a governmental fiscal activity which will not result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment. Therefore, pursuant to Section 15060(C)(3) of the State CEQA Guideline the activity is not subject to CEQA.
