SUMMARY
On December 2, 2014, the Registrar of Voters transmitted results of the Special Municipal Election held on November 4, 2014. Elections Code Section 10262(b) requires the City Clerk, as the City elections official, to certify the results of the election to the City Council, and the City Council is required to adopt a resolution reciting the fact of the election.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The Development Services Director has reviewed the proposed activity for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and has determined that the activity of Adopting a Resolution Reciting the Fact of the Special Municipal Election is not a "Project" as defined under Section 15378(b)(5) of the State CEQA Guidelines because the action of adopting the resolution is an administrative activity that will not result in a physical change to the environment; therefore, pursuant to Section 15060(c)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines the actions proposed are not subject to CEQA.
