SUMMARY
On October 21, 2015 the Director of Public Works received THREE (3) sealed bids for the "Roof Replacement at Chula Vista Parkway Gymnasium and Pool" (PR317) project. The project is included in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget. The source of funds is a State of California Housing Related Parks (HRP) Program grant awarded on September 10, 2012 and one-time funding from the TUT Common Fund. The proposed resolution, if approved would accept the bids and award a contract to Contract West Roofing, Inc. in the amount of $160,160.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The Project qualifies for a Class 1 Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) of the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines.

DISCUSSION
On March 27, 2012, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2012-050 authorizing the City Manager to apply for State of California Housing Related Parks (HRP) Program grant and to enter into a grant agreement if the application is approved. In September 2012, the City applied for a grant award of $517,000 and was awarded a grant in the amount of $488,400 for various rehabilitation projects at Eucalyptus, Lauderbach, Memorial and Parkway Parks, Norman Center and the Women's Club. One of the identified priorities is roofing repairs at Parkway.
