SUMMARY
In 2012, the "Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction", commonly known as the "Greenbook" was revised to reflect changes in technologies, specifications, and performance tests for the construction industry. Staff has revised the City of Chula Vista Standard Special Provisions to reflect changes made in the 2012 "Greenbook" as well as adding specifications specifically for the City.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The Environmental Review Coordinator has reviewed the proposed activity for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, CEQA, and has determined that the activity is not a Project as defined under Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines therefore pursuant to Section 15060 c 3 of the State CEQA Guidelines the activity is not subject to CEQA review. Although environmental review is not necessary at this time environmental review will be required prior to the approval of individual projects.

The Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook)

The Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, also known as the "Greenbook", provides general specifications used in Public Works construction projects. Most local agencies use the "Greenbook" to provide contractors with more uniformity when competitively bidding projects.
